Daksh 2012, the technical fest of SASTRA University, Thanjavur, has found yet another reason for you to include it in your schedule; Youth Summit. The Youth Summit is an event where you can showcase your skills as a thought spreader and influencer by speech. A look into the following topics will provide a better insight to what Youth Summit is all about:

1. Kudankulam be a gift from Magi or a curse from Lucifer?

2. Aging makes wine taste good. Would it be the same in the case of sportsmen?

3. In today's India, does media control politics or do the politicians control media?

4. Which should rule the country; the blue turban or the white cap?

5. Should Indians make money in dollars or should we make the rupee better?

6. Long hair, tied up and swaying to meliflous tunes or left lose, hanging for skull cracking noise?

7. Should engineering be a career or a duty?

8. Why don't you join politics? Should we still be under monarchichal lineage?

9. If Harry Potter: Rowling, then biofuels:scientific theoretician?

10. Bordered by Green and red, is India growing safe to be a superpower?

 

Event format:

Prelims:

Individual event.

Participants are to chose a topic from the above ones and talk on it for the given time(5 min).

For students of SASTRA University: The schedule for the prelims of Youth Summit will be put up soon, you are requested to follow our Facebook page and/or also on Twitter(@daksh_2012). The schedule will be updated on the official website also.

For students of other colleges: You are requested to record an audio or video clip of the talk being given by the participant and to be uploaded to the page(will be specified soon). The dates and topics specified for the dates will be announced soon.

 

Finals:

Finals will be held on one of the three days of Daksh 2012, the finalists being chosen from each week's participants.
